Sean Jacobs is a security specialist and policy expert, having worked for Australia’s National Security Adviser and as a security planner for the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the Brisbane G20 Leaders’ Summit. Born in Papua New Guinea, he has worked at all levels of the Australian and Papua New Guinean governments, and is the author of Winners Don't Cheat: Advice for young Australians from a young Australian (Connor Court Publishing, 2018). His published work on governance, political risk, international development, leadership, security and diplomacy has featured in multiple Australian and international publications, mainly The Australian Spectator. Usually based in Brisbane, he is currently living on the South Island of New Zealand, leading a small public policy team for a local government authority. His website is at www.seanjacobs.com.au.
