The need for this proposed increase has been brought about by unwanted mass immigration. Rather than increase the number of politicians to make their jobs manageable, reduce immigration to negative NOM. A lot of recent arrivals haven’t settled in properly and would really adapt to their countries of origin.
Term limits are a separate issue. Who wants 8 years of Lydia Thorpe? Keep as is, but make the lower house term fixed.

There are far too many politicians currently and far too much control from top downwards. This is undemocratic and there should be far less interference into the lives of the citizens of Australia. We should be decreasing the number of bureaucrats overall.

This is a helpful survey. Like the IPA I do think there is a case for an enlarged Parliament and reject “anti-politician” reflex argument. Plebiscites shouldn’t be encouraged as we never want to see a republic plebiscite in place of a referendum. And four year terms are fine so long as the Senate runs for 8 years and not four as per the 1988. Four year terms work well at State level.

There are too many politicians already sucking off the taxpayer teat and never being responsible for anything. Why would Australia with a debt bridging one trillion dollars, want more of these useless fools whose only interest is themselves and how much taxpayer money they can syphone off?

There are too many politicians earning too much money with benefits. If anything, the number should be lowered and the Government minimised
