The 2025 Federal Election

The General Election

May 3rd 2025

MESSAGE FROM THE LIBERAL PARTY OF AUSTRALIA TO THE AUSTRALIAN MONARCHIST LEAGUE

The Coalition believes Australia has benefitted from the stability of a democracy with the Monarchy as our bedrock.

While this is ultimately a consideration for the Australian people via a referendum, we believe the current constitutional arrangements have served us well since Federation.

Sunday 30 March 2025

THE AUSTRALIAN LABOR PARTY

Its policy is to make Australia into "an independent republic".

This is an example of why we need monarchist politicians in the parliament. Here we see Senator James Patterson, a supporter of AML questioning the secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs on why they removed portraits of the monarch to which she responded that they were replaced by pictures of the ministers.

No system is perfect, but the Constitutional Monarchy (The Crown) is the closest thing to it.
Just consider the USA for example, – they really have problems, do they not ?

I believe that a conscience is necessary for all parties on this.
Lots of Labor voters voted no in 99 when I was only 2.

I believe that we must persuade both sides of the majors to leave the status quo as it is. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

AML members have a wide range of views on everything but we come together as defenders of the Crown.

Even Labor state MPs have monarchists amongst them. Former WA Labor Senator Joe Bullock as a staunch monarchist had been and is still a fine gentleman. I know that many grassroots members of Labor, Liberal, Nationals, Pauline Hanson’s one nation and Australian Christians are ardent defenders of the Christian constitutional monarchy.

Thank you for this important summary of treacherous attempts to sever Australia’s historically important and traditional ties to the British Monarchy. I look forward to further information as it becomes available, and will refer it to others I know, in the hope that they will vote accordingly, & join AML.

I still find the attendance of our republican PM at the Coronation of HMKCIII quite unpalatable.

I remain convinced that they’re no better alternative for a politically stable Australia than the British Constitutional Monarchy.

Well done. Has AML communicated with Family First Party? They don’t have a policy on our Head of State arrangements.
Lowering immigration is important, too. People First Party have the lowest target – see equanimity.blog /lower-immigration-voting/
