Recall Parliament to Act Against Terror
Recall Parliament to Act Against Terror
TO: The Hon Anthony Albanese MP
Prime Minister of Australia
Parliament House
CANBERRA ACT 2600
Dear Prime Minister,
We, the undersigned, urge you to recall Parliament at the earliest opportunity for the specific purpose of reporting on and debating measures that will ensure a tragedy such as the Bondi Beach massacre can never occur in our nation again.
There are numerous questions that require clear and timely answers from the government and relevant federal agencies. Furthermore, it is essential that you and your ministers provide a comprehensive and transparent report to Parliament, and through Parliament to the Australian people, without ambiguity or unnecessary delay.
We also urge the establishment of a Federal Royal Commission to examine the causes of the recent escalation in antisemitism, identify systemic weaknesses in addressing community divisions, and recommend enduring reforms to prevent future tragedies and uphold justice and security for all Australians.
