The Prince of Wales & Climate Change Action

The Prince of Wales & Climate Change Action

The subject of climate change and proposed human intervention is one that has created deep divisions amongst Australians. Whilst it is not a matter that falls within our mandate, we have nevertheless become enmeshed because of the advocacy of the Prince of Wales in promoting action and the resulting implications this may have to the future of our system of constitutional monarchy.

Members will be well aware that I have expressed concerns over many years to his Royal Highness pointing out that as he is carrying out duties on behalf of the Queen it is incumbent on him not to make any comment on any matter of controversy and that his future subjects would obviously have differing opinions on differing issues all of which he must respect whether he agrees or not.

It is important for us, the Australian Monarchist League to be aware of the opinions of our support base on this issue and we would therefore very much appreciate your answering a couple of questions in any, sort of, survey. This will help us plan a pathway through this difficult time.

Do you agree with the Morrison government’s position of net zero emissions by 2050?

Q: Finally, can you briefly explain in one paragraph why you agree or disagree with the Prince of Wales on the matter of climate change?
A: The Prince has no idea about the physics of weather or climate. I presume he has no concept of the historical evidence in the rocks and ice cores of previous climate cycles where very high levels of CO2 gas in the atmosphere occurred during previous ice ages. He is absolutely not cognizant of the intricacies or complexities of climate ‘science’ and is driven absolutely by ideology.

Q: Finally, can you briefly explain in one paragraph why you agree or disagree with the Prince of Wales on the matter of climate change?
A: That the world has been warming in the last several decades but not the last two is evident from the record. That it is caused by man-made CO2 is but a mere hypothesis as no empirical evidence has been tabled that demonstrates such a causation. Spending hundreds of billions of dollars per annum on an unproven hypothesis is not how taxpayers money should be spent. Policy needs to be supported by ‘science by process’ not ‘science by consensus’ which is really ‘science’ by politics’. This is not good for Australia nor any part of the western world as it is economy ruining endeavor. And as for the developing world it will only distance them further from gaining cheap energy and thus improved standards of living.

A: Mankind can’t change the climate! God says in the Bible that He controls the weather & laughs @ mankind to think that he can control the climate! [So I’m not worried about it; the Lord God has got the earth in control!] People can’t control the Sun, rain, snow, oceans, thunder, lightening, storms, flood, fires, famines, etc.! We’re not to let rubbish in the seas, etc., though!

A: According to Paris Agreement 2015, all the countries committed to update its efforts to reduce its Carbon Emissions to 50% by 2030 to reach the pre-industrial levels and achieve New Zero Carbon Emission by 2050 ,
Glasgow Climate Pact which adopted by all countries to phase down unabated coal, at least 90% of the biggest economies in the world committed to keep the target of Net Zero Emissions.

A: The dams are never going to be full again?! says Tim Flannery. There is no climate crisis – it’s all just about political control. Christiana Figueres from the UN even admits the environmentalists are not interested in the environment but are trying to destroy capitalism.

A: I disagree with Prince Charles as I believe the weather has not changed at all since I was a child in the 1950’s. I have noticed the abundance of wildlife in my local area, eg. frogs and insects. I believe that this indicates a very healthy environment.
