Join fellow monarchists from Victoria and leading author and public intellectual Dr. Kevin Donnelly at the AML Victorian Branch's end-of-year Christmas lunch and celebration. In a significant year for constitutional monarchy with the appointment of an Assistant Minister for the Republic under the Albanese Government, the passing of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the accession of His Majesty King Charles III, it is a time of transition and galvanisation as monarchists prepare to defend our tried and true system in the face of renewed republicanism. Enjoy a sumptuous two-course lunch with traditional Christmas delights and a full beverage package at 'The Gables', a grand Victorian-era mansion build in the Queen Anne style. Dr. Donnelly will speak to the foundations of modern Australia and the erosion of civics and history in the post-modern education agenda. Do not delay in securing your tickets for this celebration as tickets are limited.

Dr. Kevin Donnelly

Dr. Kevin Donnelly AM is one of Australia's leading conservative public intellectuals and cultural warriors. Since first warning about the dangers of political correctness in 1992, Kevin has engaged in the battle of ideas against the cultural-left's long march through the institutions. He is well-known for having conducted the Review of the Australian Curriculum, the Final Report of which was published in 2014. Kevin is a senior fellow at the PM Glynn Institute. Kevin is a conservative author and commentator and areas of interest include the nature and purpose of education, the significance and value of Western Civilisation, the ongoing debt owed to Judeo-Christianity and the impact of critical theory and postmodernism on Western societies. Kevin taught for 18 years in Melbourne secondary schools and was a member of the Victorian Board of Studies. He was also a member of the Commonwealth’s Discovering Democracy Programme, and has undertaken a number of international benchmarking projects comparing and evaluating school curriculums. In the 2016 Queen’s Birthday Honours List, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for services to education. Kevin writes regularly for Australian print and electronic media and publications including The Catholic Weekly, Quadrant and the Australian Spectator. In opposition to politically correct indoctrination and group think exemplified by critical theory, identity politics and victimhood Kevin argues for what T S Eliot describes as the "preservation of learning, for the pursuit of truth, and in so far as men are capable of it, the attainment of wisdom". His most recent book is The Dictionary of Woke: How Orwellian Language Control and Group Think are Destroying Western Societies.
