Fundraising Raffle 2025

Fundraising Raffle 2025

AML Fundraising Raffle 2025

TICKETS: $20 each, 6 for $100 and a book of 20 for $300.

This raffle is one of the stages in our fundraising campaign to raise $200,000 to professionalise the Australian Monarchist League and be able to employ much needed staff.  We hope to raise at least $10,000 through this raffle, so please support us in our endeavours as we are all that stands between the People's Constitution and a politicians' republic.

THE FIRST PRIZE

The main prize is the magnificent £50 Platinum Jubilee Silver Masterpiece. A coin rarely seen on the market nowadays. One of these coins had sold for around $1,500 a year or so ago and the value is likely to increase over coming years. This coin was obtained by AML direct from London in 2022 and is numbered 105 out of a limited edition of 285. (See details below.)

This prize featured in our April 2024 raffle and was won by 'JH' of Townsville, Queensland but was donated back by him to be raffled again.

THE SECOND PRIZE

As 2nd prize,  we are able to offer an A3 print of Queen Elizabeth II signed and numbered by the artist, Sir William Dargie in 1994.

In 1993, the then prime minister, arch-republican Paul Keating ordered the government to stop distributing prints of Queen Elizabeth II to the public. The Australian Monarchist League responded by reproducing thousands of copies of the famous painting of the Queen wearing the Australian Wattle dress painted by Sir William Dargie (pictured on the left). At the time, Sir William was a Patron of the League.

Distribution of government prints recommenced following the election of the Howard government in 1996 following intense lobbying by the League.

This is just one of the many, many achievements of the League over three decades. It is no wonder that we are now the foremost organisation in Australia in defence of the Australian Constitution and Crown.

THE THIRD PRIZE

As 3rd prize, we offer an A3 sized print of the King from a very limited edition personally signed by the artist Alistair Barford.

THE FOURTH & FIFTH PRIZES

As the 4th and 5th prizes, we offer a brand new copy of Philip Benwell’s 2003 hardcover book “In Defence of Australia's Constitutional Monarchy.”  The book was printed in America mainly for universities with Library of Congress ISBN: 0773466967.

SIXTH PRIZE

As the 6th prize, we offer a Royal Mint Silver Sovereign 2025 Silver Proof Coin bearing the King's effigy - Limited Edition 50,000 priced at £79.99. The number of this sovereign is: 35384.

THE SEVENTH PRIZE

And our last prize is a £1 Queens Virtues Truth 1oz Silver Proof Coin 2021. The Queen’s Virtues are six virtues founded by Queen Victoria. This coin is numbered 2025.

DETAILS & SPECIFICATIONS OF THE FIRST PRIZE:

The Platinum Jubilee Silver Masterpiece.

The coin has been struck from five ounces of 999 Pure Silver and features a beautiful proof finish — the highest quality of finish — which is reserved only for collector coins. Creating the mirror-like finish requires immense craftsmanship. The dies that strike the coin are painstakingly hand finished to sharpen the design and remove any imperfections.

The overall design for the coin was inspired by the Queen Victoria Monument in London. The designer Neil Bromley also took inspiration from some of the original drawings by Thomas Brock and old photographs.

The coin design was created separately and took into account the directions of the images that related to the Latin text in each segment. This was discussed and agreed upon by several medieval historians and calligraphers.

Importantly, this coin has a strict edition limit of just 285 pieces. You’ll be one of just a handful of collectors to own one of these very special Masterpiece coins struck to mark the Platinum Jubilee.
