Broken Promises

To the Honourable Members of the Federal Parliament of Australia,

We, the undersigned, respectfully call upon you, in the exercise of your legislative and representative responsibilities, to:

# Ensure that, in future, no major legislation affecting Australian citizens be introduced into the Parliament without a mandate from the people.
# Uphold the Australian Constitution as the enduring framework for governance, accountability, and national unity.
# Strengthen public understanding of Australia’s Constitution, system of government, and the rule of law;
#Affirm the importance of civics and citizenship education, particularly for new Australians, as a foundation for informed participation in our democracy;
# Recognise the importance of aligning population, housing, and infrastructure policy with long-term national stability;
# Ensure that all public policy reflects and upholds the principles that underpin Australia’s constitutional and parliamentary system;
# Uphold the Australian Constitution as the enduring framework for governance, accountability, and national unity.

And we ask that you give these matters due consideration in all parliamentary deliberations and legislative decisions.
