ABC Refuses to Broadcast Queen's Message

ABC Refuses to Broadcast Queen's Message

WE WON - THE ABC AIRED THE BROADCAST JUST PRIOR TO THEIR 7 PM NEWS ON MONDAY 6 APRIL.
There is therefore no need to sign the petition, although, if you are new to the Australian Monarchist League, please consider signing up to receive our updates.

The Queen's Message can be viewed here.

Other than at Christmas, the Queen has made few televised addresses but she is to make an address to the Commonwealth tomorrow, Sunday 5 April 2020.

However, our understanding is that the ABC is purposefully not broadcasting the message. We call on all monarchists to sign this online petition calling on the public broadcaster to air the message from the Queen of Australia to her people.

I call on the Australian Broadcasting Authority to broadcast the message from the Queen which is to be released on Sunday 5 April, 2020.

The ABC should broadcast the message from the Queen, she has been the throne for many years and has had many great democratic leaders in her life. I believe her message will be of great help and comfort to the people. And I also believe she will act as a calming influence in this ever-changing world.

If the man who we for some strange reason bother to call PM has his speeches broadcast all the time (although no one really listens much to that anymore), then the only leader people actually have a positive view of should have her much rarer and to be honest more meaningful messages broadcast too. Or you could just leave it to YouTube to be more relevant to peoples lives again which should not be the case for the ABC

    Pathetic by the ABC

The ABC is the broadcasting arm of the government of which the Queen is the head of it.

The Queen desires to present to her subjects a message on an issue of immense importance.

The ABC is obliged to follow the protocol and broadcast that message

By refusing to broadcast the Queen’s message, ABC has acknowledged that it no longer is the government’s broadcasting arm and as such considers itself and independent corporation with no validity in acquiring the government’s (re: taxpayers) funding.

By its own desires and actions, the ABC should indeed be established as an autonomous cooperation requiring it to be jettisoned from the government coffers.

In order to formalise this, and to provide some minute financial return from the vast sums of moneys given to it, the ABC should be sold off in the commercial market to strictly AUSTRALIAN interests.
