Congratulating the Prime Minister

Labor leader, Anthony Albanese has called on the prime minister to provide more funding to the ABC. The prime minister has rejected the call and should be congratulated.

I applaud your decision in dismissing the call from Labor leader, Anthony Albanese, to reverse the government’s funding freeze on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

    Thank you, Prime Minister Scott Morrison for leaving the ABC financing as it is. I am a regular viewer of the ABC news and appreciate its balanced reporting – when it occurs.

    However, I also note the unnecessary expenditure on outside news broadcasting – for example outside the commercial or hospital buildings to report on newsworthy events. The cost of an outside crew compared with the facts being reported from the news desk, accompanied with a still shot if relevant, is ridiculous and defies any rational thought.

    The ABC receive just over $1 billion in funding every year. They should be privatised. Well done Prime Minister Morrison, however more needs to be done.
