Raising funds to cover our expenses is, unfortunately, a necessary part of remaining active. To assist us, we hold a few raffles throughout the year. Our July raffle features a fascinating historic prize: an English silver penny over 700 years old, issued during the reign of King Edward I of England (1272–1307). The diameter of the coin is: 19mm and the weight is: 1.45g.
In addition to this historic coin, we are also offering:
- 3 copies of Philip Benwell’s hardcover book "In Defence of Australia’s Constitutional Monarchy."
- 3 sets of 10 Queen’s Birthday 1994 commemorative envelopes (45¢ stamp).
- 3 sets of 10 1994 cards featuring an airmail sticker commemorating the Queen’s 1954 visit (postage likely no longer valid).
- 1 set of six cards from various years celebrating Queen Elizabeth II.
Raffle tickets are $10 each. The raffle will be conducted online. Entrants’ names will be entered into the digital draw according to the number of tickets purchased. For example, purchasing ten tickets will result in ten entries under that name. Physical tickets will not be issued, and no additional personal details will be recorded for security reasons.
The raffle will close on 8 August 2025 and the draw will be held shortly thereafter.
