ABC Refuses to Broadcast Queen's Message

WE WON - THE ABC AIRED THE BROADCAST JUST PRIOR TO THEIR 7 PM NEWS ON MONDAY 6 APRIL.
There is therefore no need to sign the petition, although, if you are new to the Australian Monarchist League, please consider signing up to receive our updates.

Other than at Christmas, the Queen has made few televised addresses but she is to make an address to the Commonwealth tomorrow, Sunday 5 April 2020.

However,our understanding is that the ABC is purposefully not broadcasting the message. We call on all monarchists to sign this online petition calling on the public broadcaster to air the message from the Queen of Australia to her people.

I call on the Australian Broadcasting Authority to broadcast the message from the Queen which is to be released on Sunday 5 April, 2020.

    As I understand it the Queen’s speech was addressed to Britons in this case. Nevertheless Australian citizens have a right to expect that such an important announcement from their Sovereign be aired on Australian news. Whatever one’s politics, one must admit that such an announcement is at very least newsworthy and relevant to our current circumstances. Drop the politics ABC and do your duty to the Australian people as our National Broadcaster.

    God save our Queen. WHAT HAPPENED TO FREE SPEECH. If the ABC is unwilling to listen to the Queen maybe we should do away with the ABC

    It is unusual for Her Majesty to make such an address, and we should hear it in Australia, where we face the same challenges. The ABC is supposed to be a Public Broadcaster and not a lobby for change of our constitutional status. Let’s hear our Queen!

    The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is Australia’s national broadcaster, founded in 1929 modelled on the BBC in the United Kingdom, the ABC is expected not to take editorial stances. Sadly more and more they pursue antagonistic, one-sided narrative the more tax payers find issue at their funding and begin applauding raids and demanding public inquiries and reviews.
