Hi. I must report my dismay at the extent the AML is tethering itself to the ‘No’ side of the Voice referendum. I’m sure I’m not the only monarchist who is broadly supportive of recognising Aboriginal history. These are two separate issues and coming so clearly out against the proposal makes it even easier than previously for republicans to cast monarchists as necessarily reactionary. You know, if one were to ask King Charles for his own private opinion on this referendum, I’m not sure he would so vociferously oppose it as does the AML..
